I'm not a co-dependant person, but it's been a few years since my last long-term relationship and the random hook up thing has grown boring. I guess I am trying to figure out ways to meet new guys and actually form a solid relationship. I can tend to be shy and quiet around new people. I must say I find the level of violence so high in a relationship so new quite unnerving.? After 3 months, I'm not sure what kind of dispute results in the type of destruction that you've described.? I will always push safety, and it doesn't sound to me like this is the type of person who is concerned with yours.? Anytime physical violence is involved, I will warn you to err on the side of caution.? If he's broken your nose in the first couple of months, imagine what could happen in a year or two over a much more serious incident.? You need to put your health and safety first.
Just because this has happened once does not necessarily mean it will happen again, but there's no guarantee on that.? I know anger management classes sound a bit cliche, but you have to remember, HE BROKE PART OF YOUR FACE.? If you're going to stay with him, I don't think asking for something along the lines of an anger management class or some form of therapy is irrational.? I personally wouldn't stay with anyone that physically abused me, but as with anything in life, I cannot set your moral boundaries for you.? That being said, I cannot tell you whether or not this relationship is worth it.? I will, however, tell you to stay on your toes and consider the things you've already gone through as well as how your relationship currently makes you feel when making that decision yourself.
